How do you imagine vampires? My view was taken from Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series, where the vampires all have skin that is icy cold, marble-hard, and as white as a sheet of paper. Their irises are crimson if they've recently drunk human blood, gold if animal blood, and black if they are thirsty and haven't drank in a week or two. They are extremely graceful and can move so quickly you can't see them. Vampires have personalities too, you know. While they may still drink human blood, they can be sophisticated and "proper". Some vampires go on "vegetarian" diets, where they drink animal blood only and refuse to kill humans. They are not supposed to reveal themselves to humans. If so, the Volturi in Italy will come take you out if the human is not either killed or turned into a vampire themselves. When they drink your blood, it does not make you a vampire. It kills you. They do not have fangs, but their teeth and tongue are coated with venom, and to make a newborn vampire, they must poison the victim's blood with that venom. The transformation is three days of pain, being worse at first, but then subsiding into a type of strength the person didn't know was possible to obtain. Vampires are strong and could bend steel, and very few of them have gifts such as mind reading or premonitions. They fall in love once and with one person only for all eternity. Werewolves are their sworn enemy (though I do not like Stephenie's portrayed werewolf). They are immortal and do not have to breathe. To kill a vampire you have to dismember them and burn the pieces before they put themselves back together again. The smoke from a burning vampire is purple. The ashes cannot reform into a vampire as their dismembered body parts can. While they appear extraordinarily beautiful to humans, their prey, among each other they are indifferent. Sometimes they charm their prey with flirting, to lure them away from public eyes. Vampire ears are round. Just like human ears. In the daytime, the sunlight reflects off their skin so they appear to "glitter". They are physically incapable of sleeping. Newborn vampires are wild and bloodthirsty and ten times stronger than their older brethren. They are this way for about a year and then it dies down. If I forgot something, I'll write it later. XD

Actually, I give them plenty of different views. Some don't even drink your blood through their mouths. There are all sorts of Vampires. Ones that have pricks on their hands that when then go into the skin, they work like tiny straws that drink the blood like that, as if a bunch of ticks suddenly hopped onto your neck. It is quick and easy, oh and to become a vampire that way, it works like one would contract a disease, toxins are shot into the stream upon contact.
Then there are the Vampires who don't drink blood at all, which steal life force to give them their immortality. These are Succubi and Incubi, but sometimes they have also taken blood or life force though partaking in erotic actions with a mortal partner in order for them to sustain their own lives.
I have a few more types of Vampires too. Believe me, there are so many ways Vampires can gain their blood or life force that it can fill a room with papers.

I think Vampires are misunderstood creatures. I think they look like what most people think. Red or black eyes, death pale skin, and ,of course, fangs. But I think they have feelings just like normal people, and they don't want to drink blood, but they have to in order to live.
I also think that they suffer a great deal once they cross over, even though Vampires can feel no pain. It must be terrible. To live for thousands of years, but look the same age you did when you crossed over.

I like the first way, sort of. Feels kind of War of the Worlds / Matrixy. XD I've never heard of stuff like that. That's why it's fun to share opinions, cos you can sort of look at things at all angles. ^^ I think Vampires are misunderstood creatures. I think they look like what most people think. XD) And they don't NEED to drink blood to live, they just have a compulsion that sort of forces them to. But they can get over it through many years of tough work. The only way they truly die is if they're dismembered and their various body parts are burned. They feel happiness and sorrow just like mortals, cos they were mortals too once. And the lack of fangs makes them blend in more.

My view was taken from Darren Shan's Cirque Du Freak, where vampires have pale skin, but don't have sharp fangs (or fangs of any kind) but their teeth is harder and stronger then any humans and can shatter bones and obviously break skin. They're waay more stronger then any human. They can run at a super sonic speed called flitting, and to the human eye they start running and disappear. Full vampires can die in the sun, but not instantly. First, they will tan when they where 20 minutes, but if they stay there for the whole day, they can burn to death. They prefer to sleep in coffins at day time, for they're safety. But besides that, all the myths about vampires are fake. They do age, but they only look one year older each 10 years. They don't suck dry they're victims. They don't bite them either, only stupid vampires (or at least that's what Mr. Creepsly say- said T_T). They have long sharp nails to cut the victims, then they take the amount needed and put they're spit which heals the wound in 10 seconds. But only full vampires have that ability. Flitting, healing spit, and knock out gas are the things that only full vampires and do. Knock out gas is what it sounds. They breath in to they're fists and put it over they're victims mouths, which goes into they're lungs and passes out for 15 minutes or so. They also can blood humans. When they blood the human, the human is no longer a human, she/he is a half-vampire, and will look 1 year older every 5 years that passes, they also have the same strangh, nails, etc.. The way full vampires blood is this- They use they're nails to cut the tips of they're fingers and the humans, next the human and vampire put they're finger tips together and some of the vampire's blood goes into the human's veins. Of course the vampire uses the spit to heal the cuts! But, after that the human becomes the vampire's assistant and is forced to leave his or her family by faking the death. Dogs and cat blood is poisons to vampires. And if a certain animal drinks vampire blood, the animal dies. Vampire and vampires can not have clidern. it's something in they're blood. Even though vampires can't turn into bats, rats or spiders, they always cuddle up with them as pets! Why? Because they know something is not the same with they're blood, and that they're differnt then humans. The vampires are a noble, proud, honorable and trust worthy race. They're rules are very strict. Vampires have to make a oth when blooded that they will never use arrows, guns ect... They eat more then blood ya know! They eat almost everything humans eat. They don't belive in hevean or hell. But, they belive if a vampire dies and was honorble to the clan and was noble even in death, they go to paradise, but if they where not, they're soul will stay trapped in earth, never to be rested. And that's what i think of vampires ^_^ ;D ;D

On the other hand, I could never part with the person-turns-into-a-wolf-on-a-full-moon theory for werewolves.
